Presidential schools
Presidential decree "On measures to create presidential schools adopted". Presidential schools have been established in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent as a specialized public educational institution. The main task of preschool institutions is to create conditions for the identification, selection and upbringing of talented children, their comprehensive development, as well as the disclosure of the intellectual, scientific and creative potential of students. Admission to Presidential schools is carried out according to the results of tests for logical thinking, written examinations and interviews with graduates of 4 classes of secondary schools of the republic. The annual quota of admission to the Presidential School is 24 students, the same for two classes - 12 students. In the first academic year, each of the presidential schools will be enrolled in grades 5-10, and 144 students will be taught in English. The program “STEAM - education” (Science - natural science, technology - technology, engineering and technical creativity, art - art, mathematics - mathematics) has been introduced in presidential schools. Graduates receive a diploma (International Baccalaureate, Advanced Level or International Advanced Level), which gives access to foreign higher education institutions, with the exception of certification or certification. Presidential schools are directly subordinate to the Ministry of Public Education. By May 1, 2019, the Regulations on the Presidential School will be developed.
